CHINO MOYA

치노 모야(Chino Moya)는 2020년 판타지아 영화제에서 데뷔 장편 Undergods를 공개하며 주목받았다. 유럽의 붕괴된 풍경을 배경으로 한 이 작품은 카프카적인 분위기의 SF와 판타지가 결합된 독특한 세계관으로 찬사를 받았다.

영화 외에도 그는 2019년 코믹북 Flat Filters, 2022년 포토북 Monosodium Glutamate를 선보였고, 2025년에는 런던에서 디지털 설치작업을 전시했다. St. Vincent의 뮤직비디오 Digital Witness는 LA 현대미술관(LACMA) 컬렉션에 영구 소장되기도 했다.

최근에는 AI와 인간성에 대한 질문을 중심으로 한 Deemona 프로젝트를 통해, AI가 최적화한 사회 속 인간의 본성과 감정을 탐구한다. 모야는 AI를 창작 파트너로 대하며, 기술과 예술, 윤리와 철학 사이의 긴장과 가능성을 시각 언어로 풀어낸다.

Chino Moya’s debut feature Undergods (2020) premiered at Fantasia Film Festival, praised for its Kafkaesque blend of sci-fi and fantasy in a decaying Europe. Beyond film, he created the comic Flat Filters (2019) and photo book Monosodium Glutamate (2022). His 2025 digital installations exhibited in London, and his video Digital Witness for St. Vincent joined the Los Angeles Museum of Art’s collection.

Moya explores AI and humanity in works like Deemona, depicting AI-optimized societies that question human nature. Treating AI as a creative partner, he sparks dialogue on technology’s ethical and philosophical impact.
