Markos R. Kay는 아트&사이언스와 제너러티브 아트를 중심으로 활동하는 멀티디서플리너리 아티스트이자 디렉터다.
인공 생명체 기반의 비디오 아트 실험작 aDiatomea (2008), 전 세계에서 상영된 제너러티브 단편 The Flow (2011), 그리고 Fidelity Art Collection에 소장된 입자 시뮬레이션 페인팅 시리즈 Quantum Fluctuations (2016)으로 잘 알려져 있다.
스크린 기반 미디어부터 프린트 작업까지, 그의 예술 세계는 ArtScience Museum, 현대 디지털 미술관(MoCDA), 빌&멀린다 게이츠 재단, Ars Electronica 등 세계 유수 기관과 매체에 소개되었으며, National Geographic, Wired, VICE 등 다양한 플랫폼을 통해 소개되어 왔다
Markos R. Kay is a multidisciplinary artist and director with a focus in art & science and generative art.
He is best known for the artificial-life video art experiment aDiatomea (2008), first exhibited at Ernst Haeckel’s Phyletic Museum, the generative short film The Flow (2011), shown worldwide, and the series of particle simulation paintings Quantum Fluctuations (2016), now part of the Fidelity Art Collection.His art and design practice ranges from screen-based media to print and has been featured in museums, exhibitions, festivals, and publications such as the ArtScience Museum, Museum of Contemporary Digital Art, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ars Electronica, National Geographic, Wired and VICE.
