5월 5일은 어린이날!
파나소닉(Panasonic)은 2022년부터 아사히신문(Asahi Shimbun)과 함께 매년 *‘미래 상상 신문’*을 발행하며, 어린이날을 단순한 기념일이 아닌 ‘미래를 상상하는 날’로 기념해 오고 있다.
올해도 파나소닉 팀은 자사 지면을 통해 ‘2042년의 대피소’를 주제로, 미래의 공간을 시각화해 줄 일러스트레이터를 찾기 위해 POCKO에 연락을 주었다. 여러 차례 논의 끝에, 우리는 이 상상력 가득한 프로젝트에 **사이먼 란드레인(Simon Landrein)**만큼 잘 어울리는 작가는 없다고 확신하게 되었다.
사이먼이 그려낸 이 환상적인 쉘터는 파나소닉의 세 가지 첨단 기술을 바탕으로 한다.
페로브스카이트 태양전지(페인트처럼 바를 수 있는 유리 기반 신소재),
키나리(Kinari)(식물성 기반의 지속 가능한 플라스틱),
노비텍(Novitek)(식물 생장을 돕는 차세대 기술).
이 기술들이 만나면 재난 상황에서도, 일상 속에서도 모두가 편안하게 머물 수 있는 새로운 개념의 쉘터가 탄생한다.파나소닉의 미래 구상은 사이먼의 유쾌한 상상력과 만나 단 한 장의 일러스트 속에 따뜻하고도 풍부한 이야기를 담아냈다.
May 5th is Children's Day !
Panasonic Corporation has been publishing ’The Future Imagination Newspaper’ in collaboration with the Asahi Shimbun every year since 2022, celebrating Children's Day as ‘A Day to Think about the Future’.
The team contacted Pocko to find an illustrator to visualize an ‘Evacuation Shelter in 2042’, the theme on Panasonic’s page. After some thoughtful discussions, we decided that Simon Landrein was the right artist for the project.
This dreamlike shelter utilises Panasonic's three cutting-edge technologies: glass-based Perovskite solar cells (which can be applied like paint), Kinari (a plant-based, sustainable plastic), and Novitek (plant growth stimulants). They make a comfortable shelter to live in both during disasters and in everyday life. The idea, put together by Panasonic's amazing team, was turned into a beautiful illustration by Simon.
사이먼 특유의 스타일로 그려낸 이 멋진 비전은 신문에 실려, 일본 전역의 중·고등학생들에게 배포되었다.
첨단 기술로 만들어갈 내일의 가능성을, 가장 젊은 세대에게 먼저 보여주기 위한 상상력 가득한 선물이었다.
미래의 ‘대피소’는 단순히 재난을 피하는 공간이 아니라, 나이와 성별, 심지어 로봇까지 모두가 모여 교류하고 쉬어갈 수 있는 따뜻한 커뮤니티가 될지도 모른다.
2042년이 오면, 자연 재료를 활용해 나만의 쉘터를 직접 지어보는 건 어떨까?
This amazing vision, visualised by Simon in his unique style, was printed in newspapers and distributed to junior and senior high school students across the country. This offered young students a glimpse into the promising future made possible by Japan's proud technological achievements.
The "shelters" of the future will not simply be places to survive disasters, but will be places of relaxation where people of all ages and genders (and robots!) can gather and interact with each other. When 2042 comes, why not build your own shelter using natural materials?
