서효정은 설치, 퍼포먼스, 미디어 테크놀로지를 넘나들며 활동하는 아티스트다. 수학과 자연에서 영감을 받아 창작한 제너러티브 아트와 크리에이티브 코딩을 통해, 일상 사물을 디지털적으로 재해석하고 애니메이션으로 구현해낸다.
그녀의 디지털 작업은 국립역사박물관(서울), 케리센터(항저우), 텐스퀘어(싱가포르), Hoog Catharijne(위트레흐트), 에비스 가든플레이스(도쿄), 인천국제공항 등의 퍼블릭 스크린을 통해 소개된 바 있으며, Demo Festival, D:Art Festival, Asia Triennial Manchester, 서울미디어시티비엔날레, 광주디자인비엔날레, 고베비엔날레, 오가키비엔날레, SIGGRAPH 등 국내외 주요 전시에 참여했다.
Hyojung is an artist working across installation, performance, and media technology. She reimagines everyday objects through digital interventions, combining generative art and creative coding to create animations inspired by math and nature.
Her digital works have appeared on public screens at the Korea National Museum of History (Seoul), Kerry Center (Hangzhou), Ten Square (Singapore), Hoog Catharijne (Utrecht), Ebisu Garden (Tokyo), and Incheon International Airport. She has exhibited at Demo Festival, D:Art Festival, Asia Triennial Manchester, Seoul Mediacity Biennale, Gwangju Design Biennale, Kobe Biennale, Ogaki Biennale, and SIGGRAPH.
